Purchased
by Leonard Sauer, this 20 acres of farm land was turned into
Sauer's Orchard in 1972. Only four years later in 1976 Leonard
built his home among the orchards and lived there for 18 years
until he sold the home and land to his son and daughter-in-law
Steve and Michele Sauer in 1994.
This
2nd generation farm has cherry harvest in early June and among
those cherries harvested are Rainier, Bings, Van, and Lapin's.
Other fruits that are harvested in Sauer's Orchard are apples,
peaches, and apricots. Sauer's Orchard brings with it a family
atmosphere where the Sauer family around the area join together
each year for the annual harvest.
